I can't say enough good things about OLD DOGS by Debi Matlack! Her writing is fresh, funny and draws you right into the world she's created. The characters (including that wonderful dog!) are so true-to-life that they immediately become your friends. The budding relationship between Valerie Roark and Daniel Hollingsworth moves at the perfect pace without feeling rushed or contrived. And Valerie's sarcastic wit will keep you laughing throughout. I can't wait to read more from Debi Matlack!

Debi Matlack is a talented author whose debut novel, OLD DOGS, is entertaining and keeps you turning page after page. The main characters, Valerie and Daniel, fast become old friends as Ms. Matlack breathes uncommon life into them. Her ability, skill and charm in weaving a story makes her tale, OLD DOGS, a book you'll want to read again and again.

ALL ACCESS

Ms. Matlack has done a brilliant job with this book . . . consider yourself warned, however: if you are in the veterinary profession, you may not want to put this book down once you start reading! It will kill your productivity for days because you will look for excuses to read this book. It is so true to life that it is scary. I really enjoyed this book and will definitely read future novels by Ms. Matlack . . . but not until I've done the laundry and grocery shopping first, or I'll never have clean clothes/eat :).

About the Author

Debi Matlack is a rare creature, a native-born Floridian. This means that the concept of snow and ice and mountains sounds good on paper, but is best experienced vicariously, through print and visual media rather than personal experience.

She lives in Florida (duh!) land of the completely ridiculous, please God-don’t-let-the-perpet
rators-be-from-Florida-(damn) news story, with her parents and husband and cats. Her main ambition, right behind not ending up as one of the aforementioned news stories, is to be successful as a writer.
